Giving Back to a Community That Once Held Us Close

At Creative Fox Group, we believe in giving back to the community that has supported us, encouraged us, and walked with us through some of our most meaningful seasons. One of the places that shaped our story in a profound way is the Ronald McDonald House in Orlando.

After our girls were born in 2015, we lived at the House for more than one hundred days. Both girls were in the NICU at Winnie Palmer Hospital, and the Ronald McDonald House was only steps away. That closeness changed everything for our family.

Because we were right across the street, we were able to hold Lillian when she passed away. If we had been driving back and forth from Auburndale, we would have missed those final moments with her. And for Evelyn, being so close meant we could sit by her bedside every single day without the added weight of long drives, traffic, or worrying whether we were too far away if something changed quickly.

Why Is The Ronald McDonald House Important?

That is the mission of Ronald McDonald House. They provide families with a safe and comfortable place to stay at no cost while their child receives medical care nearby. Their goal is simple. Keep families close to what matters most and remove the stress of housing, transportation, and meals so parents can focus on their child during an overwhelming season. It is support you cannot fully appreciate until you live it.

A Meaningful Investment

In honor of Lillian, and to give back to the organization that once held our family so close, we chose to adopt the two rooms we lived in during our stay, Rooms 12 and 34. This felt like a meaningful way to support families who now find themselves walking a road similar to ours.

Recently, Ronald McDonald House invited us back for a tour to see how much the facility has grown and changed. We visited a couple of years ago when Evelyn added her handprint to the stairwell wall, but returning again brought back a flood of memories. More than anything, it reminded us of how grateful we are for this place and its mission.

We are thankful for the chance to give back to a community that poured so much into us when we needed it most. Our hope is that other families will feel the same comfort, care, and stability that we experienced all those years ago.
